“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one takes your crown.”
Revelation 3:11
We must hold on to what we have. We must hold on to the Word, and our Faith in Christ. The Word of God keeps us steady and aligned with the heart of God.
“Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.”
Psalms 119:105
The Word shows us the path our feet should be on and lights up any stumbling blocks so that we might avoid them. God’s Word is the voice of truth among all the different voices we hear constantly. We must hold on to that, so we are not led astray. It matters who we are listening to.
Are we listening and holding onto the Voice of Truth or are we listening to the world?
We must also hold on to our personal faith– our Savior and salvation. The work Jesus did on the cross for us is the most precious gift we could ever receive and we must hold onto it! We don’t need to be excellent in mind to know that we have been saved by His blood. We face a battle every day and the Enemy wants to take away our crown. He wants to take away the precious gift of our personal faith, but we must hold on to what we have.
Are we treating our salvation like the most precious gift, so the Enemy cannot distract us?
“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
John 14:6
Hold on to Jesus.
