“Because lawlessness will multiply, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”
(Matthew 24:12-14)
Endure. Remain. Trust. When we face evil, we are to trust God. When we face suffering, we are to endure. When we become God’s children, we are to remain in Him.
What is more important than the evil and suffering is the position we take against and through it. We walk through the fire with God. He is by our side, and we have to trust even when we can’t see through the flames. Even when we can’t see the goodness, we have to trust that our Lord is preparing a place for us.
Are we trusting God through everything?
Heaven is the prize. It is the glory worth enduring for-- to praise Him in His victory for eternity. We see this in Revelation chapter 7. The angels, elders, and four living creatures surround the throne of God praising Him. One of the elders asks, “who are these in white robes…”
“I said to him, “Sir, you know.” Then he told me: These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. For this reason they are before the throne of God, and they serve him day and night in his temple. The one seated on the throne will shelter them: They will no longer hunger; they will no longer thirst; the sun will no longer strike them, nor will any scorching heat. For the Lamb who is at the center of the throne will shepherd them; he will guide them to springs of the waters of life, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
(Revelation 7:14-17 )
That is the hope that keeps us enduring. That is what comes from putting our faith in Him through every trial.
Are we willing to endure to see His victory?
